Ring Sizing Guide

Finding the perfect ring size is essential for comfort and style. Follow our comprehensive guide to ensure your ring fits beautifully.

Choosing the Right Ring Style

The style of the ring is essential. Ask yourself:

👋 Everyday Wear

Stick with solid designs and avoid very thin bands or delicate patterns. Durability is key for daily wear.

✨ Special Occasions

Go for it—the world is your oyster! Delicate, intricate designs are perfect for occasional wear.

How to Correctly Size a Ring

Method 1: Using a Current Ring

1

If you have a current ring for the same finger where the new ring will go, first ensure you’re satisfied with its fit.

2

Place the ring on a piece of paper and trace the inside

3

Measure the inside diameter from left to right in millimeters

Method 2: Without a Current Ring

Use any metal ring or hard plastic object (like a nut) following the same method above.

Important: We suggest using metal or hard plastic rather than string or paper sizing kits, as they are flexible and may provide an incorrect measurement. The object must go over the knuckle comfortably—nothing would be worse than receiving your beautiful new ring only to have it not fit over your knuckle.

Essential Ring Sizing Tips

📏

Each hand is different: Always measure the specific finger where you’ll wear the ring

🕕

Best time to measure: Around 6 PM (hands are coolest in the morning). Exceptions: after manual labor or during a heatwave

🔄

Measure multiple times: Size 3-4 times on different days to ensure accuracy

👶

Children’s rings: Size on the middle finger so it can be moved to other fingers as they grow

🤰

Pregnancy caution: Do not size while pregnant—measurements will be inaccurate. Remove rings at first sign of swelling to avoid circulation issues

💍

Stacking rings: Sizes will differ—bottom ring might be K, top ring might be L

📐

Wide vs narrow bands: If you measured on a narrow band but are buying a wide band, you may need to go up a size. Contact us for clarification

👋

Oversized knuckles: Try getting the ring over with some cream. If not possible, jewellers can fit small balls inside to prevent swinging

Perfect fit: Snug enough so it won’t fall off, but comfortable enough to wear all day

⚠️ Tight Ring Warning

If your ring is cutting in or you cannot remove it, go to your local jeweller immediately and have it cut off. Never wear a ring that restricts circulation.

Can Rings Be Resized?

✓ Can Be Resized

  • Sterling silver
  • 9ct gold
  • 18ct gold

Most local jewellers can resize these

✗ Cannot Be Resized

  • Tungsten
  • Stainless steel
  • Some pavé settings (stones may pop)

    Hello, Corrine,
As we don’t stock half sizes you will need to go a “P” which is only slightly larger than the “O”.
