Back here in Jerusalem now and Mr D is
settling down to life in this crazy country, and learning to distinguish
different types on gunfire we hear at night from Gilo. These Brits are
made of strong stuff, almost as good as we Israelis.
He actually really likes Israelis, and
loves how much more open and friendly we are than brits.... simple
explanation for that, we are all mad! He still claims its better than
Saturday night in Liverpool... LOL!
David and my little girls are getting
along famously and have become very good buddies.. except when he steals
their stuffed animals and threatens to flush them down the toilet (they
get "upset," but think he's a pretty cool dude anyway). He and Eden, who
is ten, switch lessons with each other.. she teaches him Hebrew, and he
teaches her English. If that patois he speaks from Northern England can
be called English... LOL)
He and Iris, who is six, are also great
mates, and I love watching them together. I think the worst obstacle
David has to overcome here in sunny Israel is the sun. The heat can be a
bit different that Crewe, that's for sure. although swimming here is a
bit better than Old Blighty.
We are both very very happy with each
other. David is a fantastic husband, partner and pal... and not a bad
cook, so I think I'll keep him. Good things await us in future, so life
