It's strange how things happen... you are trudging through the mundane weary lanes of life when suddenly, out of nowhere, love walks in and touches your life in a way that you know that nothing could ever be the same again...

After Ryan left me in February, we both really missed each other and became a lot closer.

My mom said that he could come back, and this time he could meet my dad (because our first meeting had been in Florida at my grandparents' house).

Ryan was a bit nervous about meeting my dad, but I convinced him it would be fine!

He bought tickets to come March 4-10, his whole Spring Break! Six days of Ryan, this was more than I could ask for! Well, March 4 is also my little brother's birthday! So, his first night here Ryan had to sit through and uncomfortable family birthday party! But he was fine and after that we drove to his hotel. It was so cute, just like a tiny apartment!

That whole week was amazing! Movies, going out to dinner, bowling, goofing off! We were finally able to experience all these "real-life" bonding activities that we had missed out on for so long! My family just fell in love with him.

Everywhere we went we met up with some cousins, or an aunt, or friends. I had a wonderful time showing him off!! But, then it came time for him to leave, and we cried and cried. The hardest part was that we didn't know when we would see each other next! When he left in February, we KNEW he was coming in March and that made it a little easier to part.

After flying back, we decided that he should come about once a month, making the next trip in April. The tickets were purchased and we were all set! April 5-8. Only a weekend trip, but any little amount of each other was savored. After work on Friday I picked him up at the airport and we spent the whole weekend together, site-seeing and driving around and watching movies. His flight on Monday morning left at 7 a.m. before my work started. The airport being nearly two hours away, we were going to get up at about 3:30 a.m.! My mom said it was ridiculous for him to spend only a few hours at the hotel that night, so he spent the night in our guest room! Finally, he graduated!! My parents trusted him enough to stay here!

When Ryan returned back to college, I decided that it was time to stop passing messages to his mom through him and I called her. We talked for thirty minutes and she is WONDERFUL! One of the top 5 nicest people I have ever met and very understanding and supportive of Ryan and mine's relationship. She also called and spoke with my mom and they now communicate through snail-mail. They have sent brochures of each other's area to each other and are planning trips for the two families to meet.

Sometime this summer, Ryan's family is going to come here and meet my family and vacation here. Then, sometime in August my family is driving to Ryan's home and we are all going to vacation there! Everything is working out so far and we couldn't be happier! I've taken on a part time job, working 25 hours a week to save money for our traveling expenses, which have racked up pretty fast!

The best part is that he's coming again in two weeks! May 6-12. His mom doesn't even mind that he won't be there half of Mother's Day! Then, sometime in the end of may *hopefully* we will be taking my little brother (a delayed birthday present) to a Blink 182/Green Day concert! When I look back, I see a budding relationship that had a large obstacle to overcome. Now that we have overcome the task of bringing an online relationship to a "real-world" one, I look ahead and couldn't be happier.
